Finance Director
Behind every great coaster... there's a great spreadsheet.
Ever wondered who keeps the lights on, the rides spinning, and the water slides flowing? That's where you come in. We're looking for a hands-on, numbers-loving finance pro to help power the magic behind our amusement and water parks. This role is equal parts financial wizard, operational partner, and behind-the-scenes hero-working closely with park leadership and corporate finance in a fast-paced, seasonal environment where no two days (or summers) are the same.
If you love turning data into insight, enjoy being close to the action, and don't mind hearing roller coasters in the background while you close the books-keep reading.
What You'll Be Doing
Financial Command Center
- Be the go-to finance partner for park operations-translating numbers into insights that help leaders make smart, timely decisions
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, forecasts, and variance analyses (yes, you'll explain why attendance beat expectations)
- Team up with corporate finance on month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting timelines
- Help build annual operating budgets, capital plans, and long-range financial forecasts
- Keep everything running by the book-ensuring compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audits
Cash Flow & Accounting Operations
- Oversee park-level Accounts Payable-from vendor setup, invoice review and coding to approvals and timely payments
- Manage Accounts Receivable, including billing, cash application, reconciliations, and collections when needed
- Monitor aging reports and work with teams to resolve open balances
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cash reporting (because every funnel cake counts)
- Review and aprove expense reports
Operations, Analytics & Big Ideas
- Track labor, operating expenses, and revenue with a sharp eye on seasonality and attendance trends
- Analyze capital spending, attraction ROI, and major park initiatives
- Build financial models to support pricing, promotions, and new attractions
- Jump into ad hoc analysis and special projects as new ideas come to life
What You Bring to the Park
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
- 3-7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or operational finance
- Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Comfort working with corporate finance in a multi-location environment
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables are your ride of choice)
- Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance teammates
You'll Love This Role If You're...
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on accounting work
- Energized by fast-paced, seasonal operations
- Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented
- Excited to be on-site and connected to day-to-day park operations
The Perks
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Annual bonus or incentive opportunity
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and holidays
- Complimentary or discounted park admission (yes, really)
- Opportunities to grow within a multi-location entertainment organization
Come help us keep the fun running-one budget, forecast, and closing entry at a time!
